Release notes - May 2024
Summary
24.5 is a maintenance release with minor enhancements.
New columns on the Grid
There are two additional columns in the Overlay section on the grid. This means you can more precisely see if issues are occurring with a specific service in a given location.
- Perf Agents
- Performance agents and any associated performance tests
- Uplinks
- SD-WAN uplinks are now in their own column with some exceptions

Business hours toggle on the Details page
By default on the details page, charts show non-business hours with a grey background and business hours with a white background on day and week views. Business hours are not shown on a month view.
New in this release, you can toggle business hours OFF to remove the vertical background shading and show alternate horizontal grey and white background areas. This setting is remembered when you next log in. Note: Pale purple background shading shows maintenance periods for a watch.
ThousandEyes HTTP Server tests in Highlight - Coming soon
Released in Beta, it's currently possible to add an API key to a ThousandEyes controller in Highlight and set it to automatically discover ICMP Ping tests. We're now working on adding HTTP Server tests, and this functionality will be available soon.
Highlight shows a chart for each test on a details page with the parent performance agent. This means you can group ThousandEyes performance tests with other services in a single Highlight location. You can then use all the existing performance test functionality in Highlight with these tests:
- Set thresholds for test metrics such as latency, packet loss and jitter
- Display the tests in grid view and in a location or service heat tile
- Alert via email or webhook when a test exceeds its threshold, based on Highlight's sensitivity settings
- Report on the percentage of time tests are within threshold for a day, week or month
- Optionally link from Highlight directly to a test on the ThousandEyes dashboard
